BLACKWING PENCIL CASE

Special Edition for Senato Hotel Milano.

Since 1909, Fratelli Bonvini Milano is a stationery and print shop created in 1909. It has been selecting and proposing writing tools, stationery items and illustrated books. It also designs and creates letterpress printouts with original lead and wood types.

The Blackwing 602 pencil was born in the 1930s. Considered by many the best pencil in the world, it is famous for its graphite quaulity, its iconic shape and for its replaceable rubber.

Luminarie is a collection composed by two different candle holder models, both inspired by the shape of the hot-air-balloons of the last century. The suggestion came from the vintage charcoal illustrations depicting rounded volumes held by ropes that create on their surface diamond-shaped pattern, captured while they are lightly flying tied to their baskets.

Perlage is a project that comes from a reflection on the glass waste process and on the action that nature and time do on what people throw away. As they were given a new life, the glass sharp scraps are transformed into colorful, smooth and polished gems, thanks to an innovative artistic processing technique.

TUTTA FOGLIA

TUTTA FOGLIA is a blanket in 100% extra fine virgin merino wool designed by Marta Lavinia Carboni for the charming dehors of Senato Hotel Milano. 

The Italian designer, who grew up between London, Paris, and Milan, where she now lives and works, has this time furnished the hotel's outdoor spaces with a precious blanket made by Lanificio Leo, the oldest textile factory in Calabria, founded in 1973.
